Smoking, drinking can affect progeny
In Astrology, Sun is the significator of father and Moon of
mother. In the Zodiac, the 4th sign Cancer ruled by Moon signifies
mother and the 5th sign Leo ruled by Sun signifies offspring and so
also the 5th house/lord in a natal chart. All sorts of intoxications
such as smoking, drinking are signified by Rahu which is a bitter enemy for
both Sun and Moon. Intoxication is also judged from the 5th house in
a natal chart and therefore from the 5th sign Leo in the Zodiac.
Therefore, a relation of Rahu with the 5th house and/or its lord in
