‘Music makes kids sharp, agile’

In Astrology, kids are represented by Mercury, the child planet as termed in Astrology. The significator of music is mostly Venus and also to some extent Mercury being the lord of the 3^rd sign Gemini in the Zodiac. The signs Gemini and Virgo are ruled by Mercury. The sign Libra, the cardinal airy sign ruled by Venus is the 5^th sign from Gemini and the 2^nd sign from Virgo. The 5^th sign signifies intelligence, talents, artistic outlook while the 2^nd sign involves the facial portion of the body. The 3^rd sign signifies the neck and communication and for the airy sign Gemini, it signifies aerial communication e.g. music. Therefore, practice of music by kids is very likely to enhance the activity of Venus through the cardinal airy sign Libra and being the 5^th sign from Gemini, it may make the kids having sharp intelligence and activities thus supporting the research work from astrological view point.

Humour in speech is signified in Astrology by a relation of Mars with Mercury as also with the 2^nd house and/or its lord in the natal chart and/or the 2^nd sign of the Zodiac viz. Taurus. This is because Mercury is the significator of speech and Mars that of aggressive nature being designated as the Military personality in out planetary kingdom. Mar is the typical male planet and contributes to the male hormones in the human body.

In the childhood, it is Mercury designated as the child planet which controls the native’s behaviour. Mercury being the lords of the 3^rd sign Gemini and 6^th sign Virgo signifies curiosity, inquisitiveness, intelligence etc. the native’s behaviour expresses these characteristics. Mars signifying the age starting from the adolescence manifests himself in the aggressiveness in speech and behaviour thus making the native humorous in words and this continues till the native is controlled by the effect of Mars i.e. approximately till the middle age. Thereafter, the native’s behaviour is gradually controlled by Jupiter and later on by Saturn which are not the significators of aggressiveness in speech and behaviour. In Medial Astrology, menstruation in female body is controlled by the relation of Moon and Mars. Moon is the significator of watery parts of the human body and also of lungs and the upper part of the heart. Therefore, with ages when the influence of Moon on the female body gets weaken, the women gradually approaches to menopause and then the other effect of weakened Moon is likely to express itself in the form of asthma and this particularly happens when the Moon is related in the natal chart with the 3^rd sign Gemini, the dual airy sign ruled by Mercury in the Zodiac. However, it should be mentioned that this can not be a general effect because depending on the strength and depositions of Moon and those of the signs Gemini and Cancer together with Mars, the situation may be different because Mars is strongly inimical for the sign Gemini and becomes debilated in Cancer thus contributing its adverse effect in these signs making the situations more adverse. Thus, Astrology provides with a suitable explanation for this research work.

In a natal chart, the working sphere is judged from the 10^th house. According to astrological principles, the four squares or Kendras in the natal chart and/or the planets related with these houses influence one another. The four squares are the Ascendant signifying the native’s general health, head etc., the 4^th house signifying the lungs and the upper part of the heart, the 7^th house signifying the kidneys and designated as the secondary maraka place and lastly the 10^th house. The 3^rd house signifies the hands of the native.
